Melinda Owen, RN, is President and owner of Notes N Quotes, Inc., which is located in Dallas, Texas. She attended Baylor University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and was an active member of NANN as well as an educator for the American Heart Association. After years of practicing as a RN, Melinda left the hospital setting to start her own company. Notes N Quotes, Inc. has been in business for thirteen years, and as a small business owner, Melinda understands the challenges of a growing company. She has been an active member of MTIA since 2000 and has been a member of Who's Who among Women Business Executives since 2007.

Using her background of clinical experience as well as managerial and directorship duties over a span of 20 years, she has served on MTIA conference committee from 2006-2008 and is conference chair for 2009. She has enjoyed the privilege of serving on the MTIA Board of Directors since 2007 and continues to be focused on the ever evolving documentation process and how MTIA can become the recognized leader in the industry. Having practiced as a registered nurse, I have an intimate understanding of the documentation process, both from a clinical perspective as well as a MTSO perspective. I feel I can give a unique insight to the board and offer up the benefit of my experience as a past practitioner.
