Provides grants for rural health information technology development activities.

Enhances the adoption of a nationwide interoperable health information technology system and improves the quality and reduces the costs of health care in the United States. Passed in Senate on 11/18, referred to House Energy & Commerce Committee, Subcommittee on Health.
Stabenow (D-MI)
Provides incentives for the adoption of modern information technology.
Dodd (D-CT)
Amends the Public Health Service Act to improve the quality and efficiency of health care delivery through improvements in health care information technology, and for other purposes.
Murphy (R-PA)
Authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to make health information technology grants.
Lowey (D-NY)

Provides grants and other support to achieve communications interoperability in the United States, and for other purposes.
