Membership Categories
General Members (Voting):
A General Member shall be a corporation, partnership, company, or other business entity that operates as a medical transcription company. Companies are eligible for General Membership if they have operated a medical transcription business for at least one year. Each company is represented by one voting representative. This means that General Member companies with just a few employees can enjoy the same benefits as companies with over 2,000 Medical Transcriptionists (MTs). The MTIA Board of Directors must review and approve all applications for membership.

Membership Application
MTIA reserves the right to request a statement of annual revenue to ascertain the appropriate level of dues for any General Members.
Supporting Vendor Members (Voting):
Supporting Vendor Members are individuals or company representatives who provide products or services to the medical transcription industry and support the ideas and objectives of MTIA.
Annual dues are $1500.
Vendor Members (Non-voting):
Vendor Members are defined the same as Supporting Corporate Members but their dues and benefits are less than those of Supporting Vendor Members.
Annual dues are $800.
Associate Members (Non-voting):
Associate Members are individuals or consultants who have an interest in the medical transcription industry, but are not eligible for membership as a General Member.
Annual dues are $320.
Affiliate Members (Non-voting):
Affiliate Members are executive, administrative, managerial, or medical transcription employees of General Member companies.
Annual dues are $150.
Allied Members (Non-voting)
This category is for institutions, associations, or other business entities that support the outsourcing industry.
Annual dues are $750.
