Christopher R. Rehm, MD, Director

Dr. Rehm has served as the Chief Medical Officer for Spheris since 2002. In addition to being responsible for Spheris’ Account Services and Customer Support, he relies on his physician background in both the acute care and outpatient environments to bring first-hand insight to the future Spheris product roadmap.

Dr. Rehm’s passion lies in working with clinicians to identify the clinical documentation solutions that work with their current and desired workflows. These solutions need to not only provide value at the most fundamental documentation level, but should also position the clinicians to capitalize on the changing payor trends around pay for performance and quality reporting.

Dr. Rehm brings a detailed understanding and unyielding appreciation of the complexities and intricacies inherent to the clinical documentation process. Specifically, his clinician background has provided him first-hand experience with the entire spectrum of clinical documentation options, deciphering the different workflows associated with various solutions, and understanding the pros and cons of each.
