George Catuogno, Director

George Catuogno is President, founder and Co-Owner of Sten-Tel, Inc., Catuogno Court Reporting Services and Sten-Tel Transcription Services. Catuogno Court Reporting is the leading New England based court reporting firm with offices located throughout the region. Sten-Tel Transcription Services is an MTSO that has been in business since 1990 and services many major hospitals, managed care organizations, insurance companies and law firms throughout the U.S. Sten-Tel, Inc. is an Application Service Provider (ASP) that began as a transcription technology franchisor in 1996, later evolving to an ASP in 2000. The combined annual revenue of the companies exceeded $8 million in 2004. George is the co-author of Sten-Tel’s technology patents granted in 1997 and 2002 for transcription workflow and for automation in billing and payables processing.

As President of these companies, George is responsible for the development of a network of approximately 80 Sten-Tel MTSO affiliates. Under his direction and through Sten-Tel’s Annual Users Meetings this network of approximately 80 MTSOs collaborates to leverage combined resources, technology and labor in an effort to develop new business and maximize competitive business offerings in the marketplace. Through this network, George has cultivated numerous onshore and offshore production relationships and has developed systems for improving transcription quality that benefit the industry’s reputation for outsourcing as well as bring prosperity to service providers through the creation of effective business models that utilize software, like AAMT’s QA Navigator, and internships to properly train quality MTs.
